Named after Asbury Park’s beloved Johnny Mac’s Founder, John McGillion, Johnny Mac’s remains Asbury Park’s favorite and most iconic bar. In 2014, McGillion was a recipient of the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce's Carousel Award; the award honors people "who have helped to make Asbury Park the unique and wonderful city that it is," according to the chamber's website.
